  • The late Balachandra Rajan, former Indian diplomat, was a Professor Emeritus at Western and leading scholar of poetry 
  • Rajiv Varma, Western Engineering professor, received the Bharat Gaurav (Pride of India) Award from the India International Friendship Society in 2014
  • Lalu Mansinha, Department of Earth Sciences, is the Academic Director of the Ontario-Maharashtra-Goa Program
