  • Western University offers an International Summer Program with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem,Rothberg. Students have the chance to study together with both local students from diverse backgrounds and international students from over 70 countries around the world.
  • On July 3, 2015, Rafael Barak, Ambassador of Israel to Canada, visited Western for meetings with the Vice-President and Associate Vice-President (Research), along with members of Western’s Imaging Team and Brain and Mind Institute.
  • In June 2013, The Royal Society of Canada, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research helped organize a symposium at Western University to present work on Brain Plasticity, Learning and Education.
  • Western’s CHRW radio station hosts Radio Gesher which looks to bridge the gap between Israeli and Canadian cultures. Conversations on the radio take places between Western students and individuals in Israel, more than 10,000 km away.
