Between 2011 and 2015, Western researchers co-authored and published 35 articles, meeting abstracts, reviews, proceeding papers, editorial materials, or book chapters with researchers at Thai institutions. Top five institutions with which collaborations occurred:

Missions and Visits

  • In June 2016, Western’s Vice-Provost (International) Julie McMullin visited Bangkok with Professor Bradley Corbett, Ivey Business School. They met with colleagues at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) and Rangsit University (RSU) and staff at The Embassy of Canada to Thailand.
  • In September 2015, Western participated in the Council of International Schools CIS-EARCOS Forum in Bangkok and High school visits at:

Other Connections

  • In 2016, Canadian Dr. Vladimir Hachinski received the Prince Mahidol Award in the field of public health.
  • Western University alumna Katrina Clarke MA’13 worked for the Bangkok Post in Thailand.
  •  Western University’s School of Earth and Environmental Sciences collaborated with Chiang Mai University on a PhD in Geology.
