Our Interns

Andrea - our student intern

Meet Andrea Burke! A graduate of Western’s BA in International Relations program, Andrea traveled with the WHE program to Mwanza, Tanzania to intern with MikonoYetu, a Tanzanian grassroots non-governmental organization that economically empowers women.

“I think Western Heads East is such a strong initiative. Going to Mwanza only made me more sure that what the program works toward is sustainable and collaborative, as well as a bottom-up approach which promotes responsibility for all parties involved."
