Dr. Gregor Reid named Distinguished University Professor
From all of us here at WHE we would like to congratulate Dr. Gregor Reid on being one of the latest recipients of the Distinguished University Professorship (DUP) award.
Along with two other illustrious Western professors, Dr. Reid joins this exclusive group of faculty members who are recognized for their extraordinary scholarly careers.
Dr. Gregor Reid, one of the principal figures in the founding of Western Heads East, is amongst the 1% of most cited academics in the world and has made invaluable contributions to the relatively young field of probiotic research. Helping develop the field of probiotic science from an odd, ‘fringe science’ into a fully legitimate scientific field, Dr. Reid is a global pioneer in this sphere.
We humbly thank Dr. Reid for his outstanding work and look forward greatly to seeing what he will uncover next.
