Take a swing in the annual International ACAC tournament or tackle the 5K fun run through beautiful trails! Get set for a serious dodgeball showdown, and some serious Canadian talent on stage. Sample great local food and beverages and experience Indigenous culture. We promise you’ll come away feeling energized, refreshed and just a bit more ‘Canadian.’

Pre-Conference Institute

The Pre-Conference Institute will be held on July 8 and 9, in advance of the 2019 Summer Conference. The Pre-Conference Institute provides new professionals (0-2 years experience) the opportunity to learn from seasoned International ACAC members. Separate registration is required. 

Golf Tournament

Location: Firerock Golf Club
Date/Time: Tuesday, July 9, 7 am to 11:30 am

Take part in this 2nd annual fun tournament for International ACAC and support the Global Fund.
Registration required. Transportation will be provided. Details to come on registration fee.

Opening Ceremony & Reception

Location: Alumni Hall (Ceremony); Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre (Reception)
Date/Time: Tuesday, July 9, 4:30 to 5:30 pm (Ceremony); 5:30 to 8 pm (Reception)

Join us for the official conference opening ceremony and reception to follow. Sample Canadian food from coast to coast, with great entertainment, friends and fun! 

Late Night Hospitality

Hosted by: Brescia, Huron and King's University Colleges

Get ready to connect with new and old friends, have some fun and relax on the first night of the conference. Join Brescia, Huron and King's University Colleges - Western's three affiliate university campuses, as they host you for a special evening event.

5K Run/Walk

Location: Western University Campus and Thames Valley trails
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 10, starting at 7 am

To benefit the Global Fund, International ACAC is hosting its 6th Annual 5K Run/Walk on the morning of Wednesday, July 11th. Energize your conference day with a exhilarating morning run or walk with colleagues and friends on a gorgeous summer morning on Western's campus, while also getting a first-hand look at why London is known as 'The Forest City.' 

A Celebration of Indigenous Culture

Location: University College Hill (Conference tent)
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 10, 6 to 8 pm

Join colleagues for a one-of-kind experience of Canada's Indigenous cultures and learn more about local Indigenous Peoples and their history. Experience unique locally-sourced and First-Nations inspired food, meet First Nations artists and perfomers as you relax and connect at this special conference dinner.

Dodgeball Tournament

Location: Alumni Hall
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 10, 8 to 11 pm

Get ready to duck, dive, dash and deak at the annual International ACAC dodgeball tournament. A 13-year tradition, dodgeball is open to all - whether it's your first time or if you're a seasoned champion. You will be able to sign up online ahead of time or in-person at the conference. *Athletic shoes required for this event.

Campus Tours of Western
and/or Brescia, Huron and King's

Various tours and departure points will be available for those interested in a more complete tour of Western's amazing campus or any of the three Affiliate University Colleges. Further details will be available closer to the conference date.

Closing Reception: A Canadian Backyard BBQ Bash

Location: University College Hill (Conference Tent)

Nothing says summer in Canada like an open-air, under-the-stars backyard party! Join us in a closing reception on University College Hill for a memorable night of food, fun, amazing entertainment, star-gazing and much more!

Service Learning Experience

In the spirit of giving back, International ACAC added an optional service-learning component to its conference in 2018. London and Western will offer the same option to experience working with a local community organization for those conference attendees who are interested. Stay tuned for more details on our community engaged learning experience!

Post-Conference Counselor Bus Tour

The 2019 International ACAC Summer Counselor Bus Tour will take place following the annual summer conference and will visit 14 colleges and universities in the Province of Ontario. The tour begins at Western University on Friday morning, July 12 and concludes on Friday, July 19 in Toronto. Details & Application
