- Master’s student from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, a public institution in northern Tanzania
- Awarded a scholarship from Global Affairs Canada to spend six months at Western working with Professor Madhumita Ray, as part of the Study in Canada Scholarship Program
Research Focus:
- Phosphorus removal and recovery from wastewater to improve the quality of water
Western Experience Highlight:
- Attending Western International’s weekly Global Café events to meet other students from around the world and Canada
In His Own Words:
“After I complete my program in Tanzania, I plan to find a role with a higher learning institution or research centre, so I can devote my career to being a researcher.
I would like to stay in my home country because it needs me. I need to make sure the kind of knowledge I have, and the kind of skills I have, can be utilized to solve some of the problems there, such as water quality, and make a difference for my community and my country.”
