Support for the Western community following earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria

Our thoughts and sympathy are with all those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. We are especially thinking of members of the Western community who have loved ones, friends or colleagues living or working in these regions.

If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, please know support is available, should you need it.

Mental health:

  • Health & Wellness Services, book a mental health appointment by calling 519-661-3030 or visit health.uwo.ca. Same-day crisis appointments are available Monday-Friday until 4:30 p.m.
  • Students in residence: email needtotalk@uwo.ca to connect with Residence Counselling.
  • CMHA After-Hours Crisis Support will be available Mondays and Thursdays from 5-9 p.m., beginning Feb. 13. Email studentcrisisappointment@cmhatv.ca for an appointment.
  • Access counselling through your USC PurpleCare or SOGS health plans:
