Western International Announces New Name for International Student Services
In an effort to better support students and the campus community, Western International is unifying its services under a refreshed, streamlined brand. Effective March 17, 2025, the International and Exchange Student Centre (IESC) name has officially been retired. Moving forward, this essential unit will be known as International Student Services (ISS).
The new name reflects the team’s ongoing mission to enhance the student experience and provide a clear and welcoming point of contact for international students at Western.
What’s Changing:
- Website & Branding: All IESC online resources and materials have been updated to reflect the new ISS name. The updated website is now live at its new URL.
- Email Update: The previous email (iesc@uwo.ca) has transitioned to iss@uwo.ca.
Transition Support:
To assist with the change, website redirects are in place for the most-visited pages, and the former IESC email will remain monitored for a period of time to ensure continued support.
While the name has changed, International Student Services remains dedicated to providing the same level of support through immigration advising, student services, and global learning programs.
