Impact of my global learning experience
My global learning experience at Erasmus University Rotterdam was everything I hoped an international experience would be. From making friends all over the world, to learning about different cultures and experiencing day-to-day life in a foreign country. My experience broadened my perspective on societies and helped me develop important life skills, as well as strengthening my academic understanding of my field.
Why I chose Western
I chose to come to Western because I am a London local and was interested in the International Relations programs offered here.
Other highlights from my Western experience.
Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports, intramurals, and student associations has enhanced my experience at Western by helping me make new connections and have fun outside the lecture halls.
A fun fact about me
I have had a McDonald's Big Mac in every country I have travelled to.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
I would encourage students to consider their personal goals, interests, and comfort level with new experiences. If they are curious about the world and open to learning from different institutions, an international learning experience can be one of the most meaningful parts of their education.
