Why I chose Western
I chose Western because the Health Sciences program was the right fit for me. I loved that it allowed me to explore health care beyond just the science and understand the many factors that shape health and well-being. I was also drawn to the strong sense of community at Western.
My favourite place on campus
The Spoke! It’s a great place to hang out with friends or study with my headphones on without feeling like I’m locked away in a study room. I love that I can get work done while still seeing campus life happening around me.
My favourite place in London
Victoria Park, especially during the festivals and events throughout the year. I love how it brings together people from across London and always feels lively.
Highlights from my Western experience
One of the biggest highlights of my Western experience has been working as an International Orientation Assistant this summer. I’ve had the opportunity to welcome students from different walks of life, learn from their experiences, and help create a close-knit community where students feel like they belong. It has also been really rewarding to help students navigate some of the same uncertainties that come with finding your place at university
A fun fact about me
The first Marvel movie I ever watched was Avengers: Infinity War.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
Explore! Don’t let your comfort zone stop you from trying something new. Immerse yourself in the culture, meet people you may not normally cross paths with, and say yes to new experiences. Some of the best memories come from the things you were initially nervous to try.
