Why I chose Western
The reason I chose Western is the balanced combination of academics and student life. Western offers a strong academic program and provides students with a beautiful campus and a sense of community.
My favourite place on campus
My favourite place on campus is the walking trail behind Huron University. While the entrance of the walking trail is directly on campus, making it very easy to access, the scenery is stunning. With a combination of forest and riverside views, the trail is perfect for a relaxing stroll.
My favourite place in London
My favourite place in London is Covent Garden. It’s not only filled with amazing food options and unique handmade goods, but every visit feels like embarking on a little treasure hunt.
Highlights from my Western experience
One highlight from my Western experience is volunteering with Western International. Through volunteering, I get to meet lots of people from different cultures and learn to see the world with a different and broader perspective. It allows me to step out of my comfort zone.
A fun fact about me
While some of my friends say that my sister and I have very different looks, others say that we look identical and they have mistaken us with each other before.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
My advice for new students is not to be afraid to try new things and pursue whatever dreams you have. Even if something seems impossible, give it your best effort and don’t leave yourself with any regrets.
