Why I chose Western
I chose Western because I liked the freedom you get to pick the courses you´re interested in taking, even if they´re outside of your program. Aside from academics, I was also captivated by the strong sense of community I saw through Western´s social media. This was key in my final decision of coming to Western, as seeing how connected everyone was gave me the confidence I would find a good place for myself here.
My favourite place on campus
My favorite place on campus is the first floor of the Entrepreneurship building. I simply love the vibes there, it feels very relaxed and happy, you´ve got good views and music. Plus, the new Founders Café just makes it even more perfect.
My favourite place in London
My favorite place in London is the ice rink we have during winter months. It´s a very fun place to be whether you know, or not, how to skate. Perfect Christmas vibes and many good options to get dinner very close by.
Highlights from my Western experience
My first year at Western was one of the best years of my life! I got to know myself better and met amazing people who became like my family in London. For sure, living in a residence during your first year makes such a change; you bond with people in a way that´s very hard to compare.
A fun fact about me
Before coming to Western, I had never come to Canada before.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
Do it! It´s one of the scariest things at first, but once you do it, you´ll have no regrets. The fear you feel right now doesn´t even get close to the happiness you´re going to feel afterward.
