Highlights from my Western experience

One of the biggest highlights of my Western experience has been beginning my PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and having the opportunity to work on research focused on converting CO₂ and renewable resources into valuable chemicals and fuels.

I have also enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds, developing as a researcher, and becoming part of the Western community.

Being selected to represent Western at POWC 2026 in Niagara Falls was another exciting highlight and a great opportunity to connect with other researchers and share my work.

Overall, my time at Western has been a rewarding combination of academic growth, new experiences, and meaningful connections.

I love playing basketball and my new guitar (Psalms) whenever I get the chance

My advice for new students or students considering going abroad

Be open to new experiences, ask for help when you need it, and make an effort to build connections. Studying abroad can feel challenging at first, but it is also an incredible opportunity to grow personally and academically.
