Why I chose Western
I wanted to broaden my knowledge in science and explore engineering. Western's reputation in Canada and its established engineering recognition in Ontario made me choose Western out of my two successful applications
My favourite place on campus
Middlesex College is one of my favourite spots across campus because of the Grad Club. It is a good place to spend evenings, especially during the winter. SOGS organizes several events and game nights to take a break from studying.
My favourite place in London
One of my favourite places in the city is downtown. It has a variety of stores ranging from thrift shops to high-end restaurants. Especially during the summer, one can enjoy numerous events and the vibrant community atmosphere can help experience diverse cultures.
Highlights from my Western experience
Initially, I had a few hiccups in adapting to Canada's education system. I got help from several kind souls and one notable person was my TA in a course. They guided me on how to study and solve equations. Also, they helped me navigate the Health & Wellness Resources on campus, something for which I'm forever grateful.
A fun fact about me
People have always described me as "adventurous" - they're not wrong, considering that very recently, I fell off a rolling chair.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
Students from all over the world are welcome at Western, as our slogan says, "All In." Academics, society, culture, environment, finances, and health should all be considered while taking a huge next step. Self-awareness and research about the country as well as the institution will go a long way.
An experience at Western is something one will always love and never regret!
