My motivation

I am interested in understanding the complex issues, needs, and realities of internationally educated nurses (IENs). I believe it’s important to highlight and champion professional identity, integration, workplace culture, system navigation, concept of equity, diversity, and inclusiveness – to recognize IENs contribution in the Canadian health care system.

Why I chose Western

Western University is an ideal blend of academic, professional, and personal growth – known for its high-quality academic and research excellence.

A highlight of my Western experience

So far, my Western experience, from outsider to insider, has been a story of growth, persistence, resilience, and a journey of unlearning and relearning.

My plans for the future

In five years, I see myself as an established researcher, actively engaged in teaching and hoping to provide mentorship to future nurses and scholars by guiding them academically and professionally.

A fun fact about me

I turn everyday experience into insights, work seriously, am passionate about meaningful conversations with people, and make them laugh easily.
