Why I chose Western
I highly value my education, and Western’s strong academic reputation was one of the main reasons I chose to come here. But beyond academics, I was also really drawn to Western’s multicultural and welcoming environment. Coming to a new country, I wanted to be part of a community where I could meet people from different cultures, learn from their experiences, and also share my own. I felt that Western would give me the opportunity to grow not only academically, but also personally, through the diverse community around me.
My favourite place on campus
The International and Graduate Affairs Building (IGAB) because I’ve made many great friends there, and whenever I’ve had a problem, the advisors have always been supportive and helped me find the best solution, and it's also one of my favourite study spots!
My favourite place in London
My home! Because after every long and exhausting day, it’s the one place where I can find peace again.
Highlights from my Western experience
I love watching volleyball matches! I’ve enjoyed every match I’ve had the chance to attend. It’s so exciting being there with the crowd and cheering everyone on. I also love exam season because I get to lock in with my friends, and somehow we make studying both fun and productive!
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
Be open to new experiences and don’t be afraid of challenges. Moving to a new country can feel overwhelming at first, but stepping out of your comfort zone is how you grow and make the most of your experience. Try new things, meet new people, ask for help when you need it, and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to have everything figured out right away.
