Why I chose Western
Purple is one of my favourite colours and I found the research into neuroscience at Western quite interesting.
My favourite place on campus
The trail behind North Campus Building and the Visual Arts Centre because in fall it looks really pretty and is a great place to clear your mind on a busy day.
My favourite place in London
Gibbons Park, as it is along the Thames Valley Parkway, which I spend a lot of time cycling along, and there's a small outdoor music park that I hang out at on occasion.
Highlights from my Western experience
As someone who enjoys watching theatre, I find being able to watch the various productions run by clubs, groups of students or certain faculties has been one of the greatest highlights. Also taking a theatre course that included watching shows at the Grand Theatre in London or the Stratford Festival Theatres in Stratford was a big highlight of my experience at Western.
A fun fact about me
Jigsaw puzzles are one of my favourite pastimes. The largest one I've done solo is 3000 pieces in about 3 weeks.
My advice for new students or students considering going abroad
Don't be afraid to ask questions, even though it may seem like something silly or obvious, and make sure to go out and try new things. Also, take LOTS of pictures, you will be experiencing so much in a short period of time, and pictures will help you remember them.
