International Family Fridays
Moving to a new country can be exciting but challenging for family members of international students as they settle into their new lives in Canada.
Family members of international students are invited to informal, weekly drop-in gatherings to connect with fellow newcomers, practice their English and learn from each other and from Western International staff about Canadian culture.
Who should join?
Spouses, partners and children of international students interested in opportunities to make connections and learn from each other.
Where and when should I be there?
Sessions take place every Friday from 1:30-2:30 pm in the Chu Centre in the International and Graduate Affairs Building (IGAB).
Do I need to register?
No registration is required for these drop-in sessions!
What can I expect?
Participants will:
- Meet other partners of international students
- Meet Western International staff
- Learn about Canadian culture
- Share their own culture and knowledge
- Practice English (if applicable)
- Discuss topics related to international families and living in Canada
