My involvement with Western International

International Comissioner for Society of Graduate Students (SOGS)

Highlights of my Western Experience so far

One of my biggest highlights at Western has been the incredible friendships I’ve made here. My friends bring out the best in me and have been a constant source of support throughout my journey. Another highlight has been my role as an International Commissioner with SOGS, where I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with international students and contribute to making their experience at Western more enriching and fulfilling.

Why I chose Western

I chose Western because of its strong reputation in health research and its commitment to tackling pressing health challenges through innovative epidemiological methods.

A fun fact about me

I recently started crocheting, and I’ve already finished making a bag and a cardigan for myself! It’s been such a fun and rewarding hobby.

My advice for new students

My advice to new students is to enjoy your time here and not stress too much. University can be challenging, but remember—you’re not alone. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help when you need it because we’re all in this together. Take time to explore, make friends, and make the most of your experience at Western!
