Why I chose Western

The biggest reason is the Ivey Business School – it’s a really prestigious program, and I wanted to study business.

Highlights of my Western Experience so far

I’m part of many business clubs and conferences. I also play on the varsity Ultimate Frisbee team, which has been really fun with practices and tournaments.

What I hope to do in the future

I want to work in finance, particularly in asset or portfolio management. I’ve been networking and coffee-chatting with professionals to learn more about the industry. I’ll most likely stay in Canada after university. I like being in an English-speaking environment, and I appreciate the work opportunities, diversity, and inclusivity in Canada.

My advice for new students

Get involved in school activities, join clubs related to your major or interests, and talk to people—you never know what cool opportunities exist until someone tells you about them. Also, don’t skip classes! Lectures are super helpful, especially when studying for finals.

A fun fact about me

I started playing Ultimate Frisbee in my last semester of high school with no sports background, made my high school and summer club teams, and then got onto the varsity team in just a year! We travel to tournaments in different places, usually at a field in the middle of nowhere, and play multiple games a day—it’s an intense but fun experience!
