A fun fact about me

One fun fact about me is that I moved quite a bit over the past five years. In total, I moved seven times, and it gave me the chance to explore different cultures and communities.

Highlights of my Western Experience

One of my fondest memories is living in residence, where I made some of my lifelong friends. After moving out of residence, we kept living together for the next three years. I have countless memories of my roommates, studying and sitting together during late night hours and ordering shawarma!

Another highlight was completing a co-op position as part of my program. During the co-op I worked with an HR consulting firm and had the chance to hone my analytical skills, critical thinking skills and professional communication skills. It was a rewarding experience because I got to experience what a workplace is like before I graduate and enter my first job.

An achievement I’m proud of

One of my proudest achievements is being asked to be one of two student ambassadors for a program called the World’s Challenge Challenge Global Final that was hosted by Western. I introduced Western’s campus to teams of students from other universities from around the world who were participating. It was a remarkable opportunity for me to showcase Western on an international stage. At the event, I had the chance to learn about global issues relating to sustainability, social equity and technological advancements.

What's next for me

After graduation, I plan to continue my journey at Western. I'll be attending Ivy Business School's master program specializing in digital management.

My advice for new students

I would strongly recommend taking full advantage of all the Western resources available, whether it's participating in programs like the English Conversation Program (ECP), Peer Guides, attending events like Global Café, or seeking help from Western Career Services. I wish I had known more back then about how many resources are available at Western.

I would also say don't hesitate to step outside of your comfort zone, make meaningful connections and enjoy your time at Western!
