Drop-in Services

Our staff and International Learning Ambassadors (ILAs) are available to meet with you, answer questions, and share their experiences during in-person and virtual drop-in hours. Service during drop-in hours is conducted on a first-come first-serve basis.

In-person drop-in service is available as follows:

  • Monday to Friday between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Virtual drop-in service is available on the following dates, conducted via Zoom:

  • Fall term (between September 15th to December 3rd 2021)
    Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Winter term (between January 5th to April 1st 2022)
    Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Drop-in Information Sessions for Western students

Join one of these drop-in information sessions to learn about the many international learning opportunties at home or abroad. Staff and volunteers will provide information, answer questions about the application process and provide further details for you to explore. With more than 170 learning programs in over 40 countries - there are lots of possibilities to choose from!  

Fall 2021 term schedule (between September 24th to December 3rd):
Fridays from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Information sessions for the Winter term will be hosted in the Chu Centre, International and Graduate Affairs Building (IGAB), Second Floor, unless otherwise noted.

IMPORTANT: Select Sign In with SSO. On the Sign In with SSO screen, enter westernuniversity, then click Continue.

  • Virtual advising relies on a secure, quality wifi connection. Please ensure that you have a good connection prior to your appointment. If not, please use the telephone option to connect.
  • Zoom conferencing by telephone is available in 90+ regions around the world.

  • If you are in a public setting, you are responsible for the information communicated in your meeting. We highly recommend that you wear headphones to ensure that others surrounding you are not privy to any personal or academic information that may be discussed.
